Thanks to the likes of Pinterest, inspiration is a quick mouse-click away. Crafty Bloggers, exponentially more creative than me, graciously
share their projects and ideas, easily tricking me and other naïve pinners into
thinking that we can also be crafty. Last Christmas, one sneaky blogger inspired
me to believe that I, too, could make reindeer using only cookie dough,
pretzels and M&Ms. She obviously was unaware that I do not bake. However, I
stumbled upon another creative soul who bestowed upon me the knowledge to cut
and fold Valentine candy bar wrappers. I remember proudly gazing at the
perfectly packaged Hershey Bars I sent to my daughter’s daycare, wondering how I
ever found inspiration before Pinterest.
Before saying good-bye to my Marketing job in the corporate
world, some of my best ideas came during my early morning one-hour commute. For
the extroverts reading who may not easily relate, let me explain; quiet, alone
time with a clear, fresh brain and hot cup of coffee is fertile land to this
introvert. By the time I pulled into the office parking lot on any given
morning, I was convinced my latest and greatest idea would turn Martha Stewart
green with envy.
Way back in my prior life – and by prior, I mean prior to
kid/career/adult responsibility, I often fell victim to current exercise craze.
Walking, step aerobics, circuit training, I’ve tried it all. I didn’t stick
with any of it, but exercising did provide me with the time and endorphins for magnificent
brainstorming. Now that I think about it, I should start exercising again. Who
knows what inspirations await.
Now that you know a little about me, tell me, where do you
find inspiration?
By the way, is anyone interested in seeing a photo of those
perfectly packaged Hershey Bars in a future blog post? And since Valentine’s
Day is just around the corner, I may throw in some directions and a printable
pdf of the finished product for good measure.
Thanks for reading,
Angie
